James Boak

After completing undergraduate and graduate degrees in Electrical Engineering, Jim worked in critical real time control development for automotive, energy and department of Defense projects. Later, he served as CTO, business unit lead, corporate strategy lead and global alliances lead for top technology companies including Compaq Computer Corporation, Unisys Corporation and semiconductor maker AMD. After retiring from AMD, he now provides consulting services full time.

Specialty areas include database design and performance tuning, REST service design, responsive web design, Javascript and Jquery, and management of core technologies including IIS, SQL Server, and Microsoft OS internals. Other areas of expertise include PHP, ASP.NET, and FoxPro.
