In this episode of CodeCast, Ken Levy interviews Sean Devlin, a Senior Technical Engineer at Servoy. Servoy is a cross-platform development and deployment platform - based on a powerful data-centric application server combined with a productive open source developer tool. Servoy applications can be deployed either on premise, hosted or in the Cloud, or as a service (SaaS). While Servoy is Java based, most programming is done via JavaScript with Java programming optional as needed or preferred. Servoy client forms and web forms run from the same UI/code base and all logic executes on the server. This discussion covers the architecture and product suite offered by Servoy to deploy solutions towards users either as a zero-deployment, native smart client, or a browser-based web client.
